I received this message from another loop and wanted to pass it on to
our EE families. Kleb Woods is very nearby, and I am sure your student
would enjoy the presentation if you are able to go. Please contact the
organizer, Fred Collins, with any questions.

We are delighted to announce that we have a very special speaker for our
next history discussion group thanks to the efforts and generosity of
Rosehill Christian School. The school has arranged for Amanda Danning to
present "Making Heads and Telling Tales of San Jacinto" - the story of
six skulls of Mexican soldiers killed on the battleground at San Jacinto
and collected by John James Audubon in the late 1830s; includes work on
the facial reconstruction of one of the soldiers. Ms. Danning is a
forensic artist, sculptor and painter. She holds B.A and M.A degrees and
has work exhibited in many museums across the country. We hope you will
attend and see how Ms. Danning brings history to life.
The program will be from 9-11:00 a.m. Thursday March 8, 2012 at Kleb
Woods Nature Center. 20303 Draper Road, Tomball TX 77377
As will all programs at Kleb Woods Nature Center and Historic Farm this
program is offered free of charge.
Please pass this along to all interested people. The program is suitable
for children and adults.
