EE families and local homeschoolers have the opportunity to have professional school photos taken in our lovely Butterfly Gardens at EE. Photo dates for EE students are Wednesday and Thursday, October 24th & 25th. A make-up date is scheduled for Friday, November 2nd. The November date is also open to other homeschool families in the area. Please Note: We will take one head-shot of every EE student to put in the EE Yearbook.
The photographer will take photos of each family as a group. You can have individual shots of each child taken as well as sibling shots and parent/child shots. Please select a family sitting time slot on the sign-up form at the House Manager's desk. Or select a time slot via PT Avenue. Go to https://www.ptavenue.com/login.asp OR http://www.extraed.net/pt_avenue_login Use the organization code "extraed" in the left-hand section. NOTE: It is not necessary to create a PT Avenue account in order to select a time slot.
Print packages are reasonably priced, and a CD of your family's photo shoot will be available for $45.
It is shaping up to be a Fun Family Fall Festival this weekend. I hope your family is planning to join us!
EE Fall Festival Friday, October 26th 5:00-8:00pm Games, Hayride, Face Painting, Magic Show? Hot Dogs, S’mores, Outdoor Movie!!!
We still need some folks to sign up for various needs. We especially need someone to volunteer to bring a trailer and hay for our hay ride! We also need someone to help us get the bonfire built and lit. Please sign up at the House Manager's desk.
We are also looking for donations of candy and small prizes that can be given away. Our older kids have been working on ideas for game booths, but they don't have prizes to give away. If you would like to donate funds toward purchasing prizes, we can take that too and then go buy some. Please give any donations of candy, toys or funds to the House Manager by Thursday afternoon.
Students are allowed to wear costumes for this event. We only ask that you avoid scary costumes or anything that depicts death or evil. (No witches, ghosts, zombies, skeletons, etc.) Please also avoid bringing fake weapons unless they are very obviously toys.
We hope everyone will come out to enjoy the nice weather and get to know other EE families. Bring your lawn chairs since we plan to be outside. If it looks like rain we will set up inside the portables.

Gamma has provisional membership through December which allows interested students the opportunity to attend events to find out about the group, and begin to fulfill attendance requirements while waiting for testing scores.
Gamma’s next event will be a service project with Operation Military Embrace (OME) of Tomball. OME's mission is to help seriously injured soldiers & their families through financial, physical, and moral support. To date, they have served over 10,000 wounded soldiers and their families.

Our team of home-schooled girls and boys has participated in the regional BEST Robotics program for over 10 years and welcomes both girls and boys 14 to 18 years old. Our team has many diverse and fun opportunities for youth to participate. Some are focused on designing and building the team robot to compete in a tournament.
Some are focused on creating a team presentation, creating an artistic team display exhibit, creating marketing materials and reaching out to our community to stimulate interest in science, creativity and engineering.
We also go hiking, canoeing and camping together. So there are numerous fun and challenging activities for both girls and boys. Also, there are a few leadership positions available for youth to fill.
Our team is organized as a Venture Crew, which is part of Boy Scouts of America and welcomes both Girls and Boys.
See our team brochure for more info. It's available on-line here .
