Please consider the opportunity to judge at the NCFCA Region 4 Invitational on May 1-3. The season is almost over, and the top competitors are invited to compete at the Regional Invitational. Over 150 students from across Texas and Oklahoma will be competing in this tournament which includes Lincoln-Douglas Value and Team Policy debate, as well as Interpretive (Humorous, Duo, etc.), Platform and Limited Preparation speech events (including Apologetics--which is like watching a 6 minute, in-depth sermon).
Judging is the best way to know if this is an activity that your family/children would benefit from, and you can bring your students with you to view the rounds you judge.
Over 430 community judges are needed to serve during this three day competition. Our students will be relying on your valuable feedback for improvement, growth and encouragement. No experience in either speech or debate is necessary.
Judging each round is a three hour commitment which includes a thirty minute judge orientation with complimentary meal, snacks and beverages. Arrival time and orientation is factored in to the time slot so there is no need to arrive early. You may choose to judge a single round on one day or multiple rounds over the course of the three day tournament.
We appreciate your interest in helping train students in their speaking skills so that they may rise up and represent our values someday!
I hope to meet you at the tournament, I hope you will see what an invaluable experience it is to attain this skill for your child and how students will use it for a lifetime. When they leave our nest, they will need to have examined the Word and have an "answer" for their faith and to the questions they will get at college or in the community. Try to sign up to judge Apologetics, you will be impressed, I am sure of it.

Hope to see you at the tournament!
