EARLY Robotics Team - Calling all young engineers!

EE is looking to form an EARLY Robotics team to compete in this year's
EARLY Robotics competition. We have two contest dates to choose from - April 27th in Huntsville or May 11th in Houston. If we have enough interest, we can even compete in both tournaments.

  • Team members need to be ages 8-12 years.
  • Team meetings will be Wednesdays from 2:00-3:30.
  • The cost to be on the team is a discounted rate of $40/month for February-May with a Supply Fee of $20.
  • Team members must commit to attend at least one contest date (4/27 and/or 5/11) before joining the team.
  • For questions about the team, please contact coach Elise Eaton at eeaton@extraed.org

About EARLY Robotics

Engineering And Robotics Learned Young (EARLY) is a robotics program that immerses elementary and middle school students in the engineering process. EARLY provides elementary and middle school students the opportunity to design and build robots along with participating in robotics competitions. Each season, EARLY teams are given a new mission that they complete by building a robot from LEGO Simple & Powered Machines Sets.

EARLY team members have a bright future with the opportunity to participate in various robotics competitions as they get older such as the BEST Robotics Competition. For those students that choose to participate on the EARLY team, they will be introduced to hands-on engineering and gain an appreciation for the challenges and goals that the EARLY team will face.

For more information please see the EARLY Robotics website:
