DUAL CREDIT SCHOLARSHIP
As an amazing bonus for passing a LetU dual credit course, the university is offering an outstanding scholarship opportunity. The LetU Dual Credit Scholarship offers students $16,000 PER YEAR for up to 4 years if they take and pass one LetU dual credit class!
http://www.letu.edu/opencms/opencms/_Admissions/dualcredit/scholarship.html
HOMESCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
In addition to the Dual Credit Scholarship, LetU offers a stackable Homeschool Scholarship of up to $3,000/year.
http://www.letu.edu/opencms/opencms/_Admissions/financial-aid/types-of-aid/letu/home-school-endowed-scholarship.html
The two scholarships together bring the cost to attend this highly respected Christian university down to a very reasonable level. Even more exciting is that these scholarships are attainable by an average student!
CLASS DETAILS:
While our EE-LetU dual credit classes do not offer "free" tuition, the trade-offs when compared to other local dual credit options are significant.
  • A distinctly Christian course from a Christian university
  • In-person classes on a homeschool friendly campus
  • Very small class size with similar age students
  • Credit from a university rather than a community college
  • The chance to qualify for a significant scholarship
TUITION & FEES*
$270/course Tuition (payable to LetU)
$225/course Facility Fee (payable to EE)

As a comparison, similar HBU Academy classes are $1,000/year for 3 hours of credit.

Something Fishy - Super Cute Art
Instructor: Renee Campbell

Camp Description: This one day workshop will bring out the creative kid in all who participate and they will leave with the cutest wall or table art imaginable!  These "fishy" projects are based on art I saw while in Asheville, NC -- and will be every bit as lovable, but at a fraction of the cost.  You will need to supply as many unusual small/smallish items as possible to be wired onto a racquet that I will supply.  You may come up with a theme (like toys,  or game pieces from old fashioned games, or a kitchen fish, or a bathroom fish, etc.) or no theme at all.  Either way, you will want to collect as many miscellaneous items as you can find....old keys, film canisters, marbles, Lego pieces, wheels, metal band-aid boxes, a loose measuring spoon, an old screwdriver.....anything small/smallish may work!  (Now you know what to do with all of those parts and pieces and leftover "whatevers" that you were afraid to throw away...send them to us, please!).  You will also need to bring a sack lunch, please.  Snacks will be served, so if your child has food allergies, please let me know.

Camp Date: June 28
Grade/Age Range: 10-18 (ages 7-9 may attend if parent stays with them)
Camp Schedule: Wednesday/11am-4pm
Camp Cost: $69/camper

Camp Date: June 29th
Grade/Age Range: 10-adult
Camp Schedule: Thursday/11am-4pm
Camp Cost: $69/camper
Email for more information/registration: rcampbell@extraed.org

Clip’n Snip Tees + Zumba
Instructor: Renee Campbell

Camp Description: This one day workshop combines the fun of putting your own special spin on a tee shirt (or two or three) and then wearing it as you show off your moves (or just move!) in a zany Zumba class geared for all!  Participants will design and then cut patterns into old tee shirts to create new ones, so if you have any old tees that you were going to get rid of, this is a great way to recycle them....and maybe even get some more use out of them as new workout shirts.....either way, it's fun, fun, fun!  Please bring a sack lunch, some extra water, and maybe even a towel to pat your glistening self with after Zumba.  Dress comfortably as I will teach some of the dance moves in an easy to learn manner....and then we'll all just go for it!  Snacks will be provided, so if your child has food allergies, please let me know.
