Teachers Needed!

Extraordinary Education is looking for a few extraordinary teachers for the upcoming school year. Please see our postings and apply online at the link below. We will be conducting interview on TUESDAY, JULY 30th.
http://www.extraed.net/job_postings
Please be aware that all positions at EE are PART-TIME independent contractor positions. Most classes only meet 1-2 days per week for 1-3 hours per day. Teachers are also responsible to design their own curriculum (within EE guidelines.) This is not a “typical” teaching position. It takes an experienced teacher who is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Jeff Eaton Scholarship Fund

WalkerC_LZ304-ISEPE6JaMany people have asked how they can make a donation to the EEC Scholarship Fund in honor or my husband, Jeff Eaton. I have set up a PayPal link to make it easier for those who would like to make a donation online.

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=BEAQK4A3MWC9A
(If you don't have a PayPal account, please drop down to the smaller words that say, "Don't have a PayPal account?
Use your credit card or bank account (where available)." Then click the link that says "Continue".)

This scholarship fund will be available to help families who are facing a family medical crisis such as cancer or the death of a parent. I can remember many times in the past few years when families have had to reluctantly quit homeschooling due to hardships like these. I, myself, have been faced with the possibility of needing to go back to work in the public school system to support my family. It is my hope that this scholarship fund will help families who are facing a health crisis and allow them to continue homeschooling during this critical time in their child's life.

Donations can also be made by check made out to "Extraordinary Education". Please put "Scholarship Fund" in the memo area.

As a 501c3 organization, donations made to Extraordinary Education are tax-deductible. Many local workplaces also offer a matching funds program for donations to non-profit organizations. Please check with your employer and let them know about your donation. This will help your donation make an even greater impact.

Portable Building Renovations!

We just had to share the excitement over our “new” buildings!

The contactor has been hard at work for several weeks replacing rotten siding with Hardi-plank and new insulation, replacing damaged eaves and overhangs, and replacing worn out lighting.

The buildings have been painted to match the main building and playground to give an overall unified look to the property.

One of our scouts, Alan Abbot, also recently completed his Eagle Scout project by installing a cement sidewalk for us. Alan has been a member of our BEST Robotics team for several years.

We hope you are as excited about the upgrades as our staff is and looking forward to your classes this fall!
