9/14 - Eta Sigma Alpha - First 2012 Meeting

Eta Sigma Alpha

Home School National Honor Society

Gamma Chapter (Northwest Houston Area)

The Gamma Chapter of Eta Sigma Alpha Honor Society was formed in 2001 in the Tomball/Woodlands area to recognize academic achievement and to provide community service opportunities for home schooled students. We accept applications for membership from current freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.  Honor society membership is an important designation for college and scholarship applications and provides a wonderful venue for leadership and service opportunities!

This school term’s first meeting is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Tomball Community Library Room L129 30555 Tomball Parkway.   The meeting is open to any area home schooler and will feature Dr. John Mark Reynolds, provost of HBU and former founder and 17 year director of the Torrey Honors Institute at Biola University, who will speak on Christian leadership through service.  Dr. Reynolds will be joined by Mr. Kendrick Skipper, owner of two area Chick-fil-A restaurants, who will speak on Christian principles and ethics in business.

For an application please email:  hshonorsociety@gmail.com

This school term's first meeting is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Tomball Community Library, Room L129, 30555 Tomball Parkway.   The meeting will feature Dr. There will be opportunities for questions and comments following each gentleman's talk.  Both our speakers are very successful in living out their faith through their professions and will have wonderful insight to share!  We encourage each of you to attend and have attached a flyer that may be helpful in inviting friends to the meeting and to join Gamma this year.   Activities are always more fun when we share them with our friends!

In His Service,

Mrs. Strack
